Join IGI Global At ALA Annual 2014 In Las Vegas, NV, Booth #1235Hershey, PA – June 16, 2014– IGI Global, an international publishing company specializing in high-quality research publications in the fields of education, social science, library science and information science, healthcare, business, environmental science, public administration, computer science, and engineering, is pleased to announce its booth information for the 2014 ALA Annual Meeting.

The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world, providing association information, news, events, and advocacy resources for members, librarians, and library users. This year, the 2014 ALA Annual Meeting will be held from Thursday, June 26th to Tuesday, July 1st at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, USA. Exposition dates are June 27th-30th.

IGI Global will be at Booth #1235, and is excited to meet with authors, editors, and vendors. The booth will host author presentations, as well as presentations outlining our new content expansion, throughout the conference. Title: Practical Preparations for the Future of Libraries: Succession Planning and Implementation

Description: Come hear from the editors of Succession Planning and Implementation in Libraries: Practices and Resources as they provide valuable insights into the process of implementing succession planning in libraries. Issues that should be addressed, challenges, and possibilities of a succession plan’s effect on the success of library organizations will be discussed.

About the editors:
Kiyomi Deards has been an Assistant Professor and Science Librarian with the University Libraries at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2010. She is currently the subject librarian for Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, and Astronomy. Deards co-chairs the ALA NMRT Mentoring Committee, co-chairs the ACRL STS Organization and Planning Committee, and serves on the UNL Libraries’ committees on data curation and collection development. Deards has presented at ALA, ACRL, LITA, the American Chemical Society Annual Meeting, and Science Online on a variety of topics including: succession planning in academic libraries; health equity in the library workplace; developing communities of practice; marketing yourself in science; data management and discoverability; and promoting open access repositories. Her research interests include issues of equity and management in libraries and science.

Gene R. Springs is currently the Business Librarian at The Ohio State University Libraries in Columbus, OH. Previously, he served as the Business Information Services Librarian at Rutgers University Libraries in New Brunswick, NJ, and as the Web Services Librarian at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. Gene received his B.A. in English and his M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
